2020年第35屆佛山陶博會 最受歡迎的產品是什么呢?35TH CERAMBATH 2020 What are the most popular Products?
I am still in North America and writing this article from my home is USA. That does not mean that I am not aware of what is happening these days in China specially in Foshan where we are having now the 35th CERAMBATH Ceramic and Bathroom Fair.
此時我依然在北美,在美國的家中寫這篇文章。這并不意味著我不知道這些天中國發生了什么,特別是佛山,第35屆佛山(國際)陶瓷衛浴博覽會正在這里舉行。
China has been the only country in the world that has had important fairs regardless of the industry that you are part of. In our case, in the ceramic industry we have had already two big important fairs already: UNICERAMICS and CERAMBATH. Both of them with good domestic attendance but practically zero international customers.
中國是世界上唯一舉辦了重要展會的國家,不管你在哪個行業。就我們而言,在陶瓷行業我們已經舉辦了兩場重大的展會:中陶展和陶博會。兩場展會都有挺不錯的國內參觀客流,但幾乎沒有國際客戶。
That has not been a real problem for the Chinese Brands which are paying a lot of attention to the domestic market anyway as it is the only fully active market in the world.
對于那些更多關注國內市場的中國品牌來說,這并不是一個真正的問題,不管怎樣這是世界上唯一一個完全活躍的市場。
The different brands have been very busy after the contingency in February and March and trying to make up the time lost during these months.
在經歷了2月和3月的突發事件后,各品牌都變得非常忙碌,試圖彌補這幾個月損失的時間。
Personally from my point of view I have never seen The Industry as active as it is today and one of the comments I make to our people in USA and Mexico is that in the last 6 months of this year I have seen more changes and improvements than in the last 5 years as incredible as it may sound.

The biggest change came and started just a few months ago when many brands finally took the decision of taking the bull by the horns and started the construction of their own slab ceramic lines. To make this clearer and put this into perspective, the different brands in China doing so are installing so many slab lines that will put China by the end of this year as the largest slab manufacturer in the world but by the end of 2021 there will be so many lines of slab that will make China not only the largest but the country that will make close to 50% of the total production of porcelain slabs in the world.
最大的變化發生在幾個月前,當時許多品牌最終做出決定要不畏艱難,開始建設屬于自己的陶瓷大板生產線。為了更清晰、正確地看待這個事情,中國不同的品牌正在安裝如此多的大板生產線,這將使中國在今年年底成為世界上最大的大板制造商。而在2021年底,擁有如此多的大板生產線,將使中國不僅成為最大的大板生產國,還讓這個國家占據世界大板總產量的接近50%
As a matter of fact, during CERAMBATH in these days the main if not the only topic of the different events and summits held by the industry were related to the big slabs. The reality is that tile is not just big but very big, sizes like 75x150, 80x160,90x180 do not and should not count as slabs. Only any size over 120x240 should be considered as slabs or “YanBan”.
事實上,在陶博會的這幾天,業界舉辦的各種活動和峰會,如果不是唯一也是很多的是與大板有關的主題。現實是瓷磚不僅大,而是非常大,像75x150, 80x160,90x180cm這樣的尺寸都不應算作大板。只有120x240以上的規格才應算是大板或“巖板”。
So, the big size seems to be the top trend in China, but how about the styles or designs applied to the slabs? Well, there seemed to be a little bit of everything but maybe what I saw on WeChat and the feedback from our people it maybe the sintered matte stones were possibly the most seen. These items are primarily focused to be used in furniture, either desks, coffee tables, meeting tables, dining tables and so on. That is the reason why you see brands making odd rectangular sizes like 80x140, 80x200 mainly in matte finishes with the body matching perfectly the top surface of the tile. Typical white and gray marbles were the most seen and some of the usual black marbles like Sahara Noir that by far has been the one preferred by most brands. But besides the sintered stone most of the other proposals were on full polished marbles ranging from the basic well known marbles to some exotic looks in more colorful marbles that are now easier to obtain by using the better and more advanced technology.
所以,大規格似乎是在中國最熱門的趨勢,那大板的風格和設計又如何呢?嗯,似乎每樣東西都有一點點,但也許從我在微信上看到的以及我們同事的反饋,或許亞面磚是見得最多的。這些產品主要集中用于家具,比如桌子、咖啡桌、會議桌、餐桌等等。這就是為什么你會看到一些奇怪的長方形尺寸,比如80x140,80x200,主要是亞光飾面,坯體與瓷面完美匹配。典型的白色和灰色大理石是最常見的,以及一些常見的黑色大理石,比如撒哈拉黑,這是至今大多數品牌首選的。但除了巖板外,大多數都是全拋大理石,從基本的眾所周知的大理石,到一些奇異的、顏色更為豐富的大理石,后者因為有了現在更好的、更先進的技術能更容易地生產。
Matte products were dominated by concrete looking slabs and some of them with color and structure, but it seems that this finish is still far away from reaching its full potential or the quality level of Italy or Spain. Knowing how things are in China I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens fast.
亞面產品主要是混凝土外觀的大板為主,其中一些產品有色彩和模具,但似乎質面仍然遠離發揮全部潛力或達到意大利或西班牙質量的水平。我了解中國是怎樣的,如果事情迅速發生,我不會感到驚訝。
Everything else seemed to be secondary, nobody was paying too much attention to other sizes besides the big slab. There were a few imported brands that are trying (late) to get into the Chinese market but now is more difficult than ever and with the domestic brands making the big slabs it seems that the imported brands have their days numbered in China.
其他的一切似乎都是次要的,除了大板,沒有人過多關注其他尺寸。有一些進口品牌想要進入中國市場(晚了),但現在比以往任何時候都更加困難,而隨著國產品牌對大板的生產,進口品牌在中國的日子似乎屈指可數了。
I believe that while the world is moving slow pretty much everywhere, China took advantage of that and make a huge leap forward (The biggest one ever) to get much closer to the Italians and Spanish manufacturers. I am not so sure if they are truly aware of the impact they will have in the near future with the advancements that the Chinese domestic ceramic industry has done in recent months. When the others are static and you are moving forward at fast speed it doesn’t take too long to be at the same level than the leaders!
我相信,當世界各地的發展都很緩慢時候,中國會充分利用了這一點,實現了一個巨大的飛躍(有史以來最大的一次),以更接近意大利和西班牙的制造商。我不太確定他們是否真的意識到,隨著中國陶瓷行業近幾個月來的發展,他們會在不久的將來帶來如何的影響。當其他人都停滯不前的時候,你在快速前進,不用花太長時間就能與領導者處于同一水平!
